Meme your degree: using social media to boost reach and gain traction for academic ideas (16th April – UG/PGT/PGR)
This interactive workshop will introduce key strategies for interacting with online academic communities through social media and gaining traction for your ideas. Learn how to avoid common pitfalls and reputational risks and discover how effective networking and content creation can boost engagement with a diverse audience.
Participants will be challenged to turn an aspect of their own academic work into a meme, and to create a bespoke plan for social media engagement.
