  • Are you nearing the end of your PhD and would like some support with writing up your thesis?
  • Do you put off writing tasks until ‘tomorrow’?
  • Are you finding it tough ‘going it alone’?

Then sign up for Thesis Writing Retreat, running in person 1-3 July, 09:15-17:00.

Come and join other postgraduate students in a supportive, structured, intensive writing environment. With the help of your peers and an experienced facilitator, Thesis Writing retreat participants will power through final-year blues, writer’s block, and thesis fatigue to achieve significant progress on their dissertation.  The Retreat focusses on getting words down on the page, and is not intended  for reading articles, taking notes, editing, or polishing existing material; it is also not designed to offer in-depth advice and support in terms of language and writing style.

For more information and to book a place see the Writing Retreats page on the Learning and Writing Centre website, or book directly through PDMS by June 19. This event is open to all PGR (postgraduate research- PhD/DProf/MPhil/MSt(Res)MSc(Res)/MRes) students.
