Project Title: International Postgraduate Taught Student Belonging

This study is being conducted as part of my MSc dissertation in the International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of St Andrews.

We invite you to participate in a research project exploring how international postgraduate taught students experience sense of belonging throughout their master’s program.

You will receive a guided belonging map to identify factors that contributed to your increased or decreased sense of belonging over the course of your time in the UK. You will then participate in a semi-structured interview (up to 30-minutes) to discuss your belonging map. The belonging map will be completed up to one week prior to the interview and you will bring your completed map to the interview. Interviews will be conducted in-person at the International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute (IELLI) in June.

If you are interested, please get in contact with Abigail Shusterman using the details below. You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details my research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.
