Unique opportunity in project management
USACC is seeking a Coordinator for the new committee that will oversee the implementation of a domestic hitchhiking race for charity, which will operate alongside existing Race2. For now we are calling this new race ‘Baby Race2’.
The Baby Race2 Coordinator will be responsible for leading the new committee (approx. 7 people) in planning and executing the new event. This role involves team leadership, collaboration, creative problem solving, proactive time management, and strong organizational skills.
The Coordinator will work alongside the Race2 Coordinators to share operational knowledge and ensure the Baby Race2 is designed with Race2 in mind. They will also work alongside USACC and Union staff to oversee the project’s development and execute logistical matters.
The role offers unique experience in project management, especially as you will be working to make a new idea come to life.
As this is a new event, some steps have already been taken by the parties noted above to facilitate project set up (tentative committee selections, location research, etc.). Some decisions have yet to be made, e.g. the official name of the race. The Coordinator will be integrated into this process ASAP.
