PARTICIPANTS WANTED FOR PROJECT ON MOOD DISORDERS – 10£ COMPENSATION
Project Title:
The Role of Mood Disorder Acceptance and Individuals’ Identity
This study is being conducted as part of my, Fiona Campuzano Atz, PGT research study in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.
We invite you to participate in a research study that investigates how people experience accepting a mood disorder diagnosis to explore how accepting a diagnosis such as depression or bipolar disorder influences their sense of identity, as well as how an individual perceives themselves and the world around them. You must be a student at St Andrews aged 18 or older. If you choose to participate, you will take part in a single one-on-one interview with the researcher via Microsoft Teams at an agreed-upon time. The interview will last up to 60 minutes. You will be asked open-ended questions about your experience after receiving a mood disorder diagnosis and how accepting it or not has shaped you and your identity. There will be a £10 compensation if you choose to participate.
If you are interested, please get in contact using the details below. You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details my research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.
