Thursday 23 July 2026

We are looking for volunteers to take part in a research study at the University of St Andrews exploring the design of a digital system to support participation in research on puppy development. This project is being conducted in collaboration with a few researchers from the Pets Assisting With Science (PAWS) Lab, which studies how dogs think, behave, and develop over time. The study focuses on how people take part in research and how digital tools can support participation in studies carried out in everyday environments.

Who can take part?
We are looking for adults (18+), including dog owners and University of St Andrews students or staff.

What does participation involve?
You may be asked to take part in one or more of the following activities:
• taking part in a usability testing session
• participating in an interview
• demonstrating how you might engage with a research system

Sessions will last approximately 30–60 minutes and may take place online (e.g. via MS Teams), OR in person in St Andrews. Refreshments will be provided for sessions that take place in-person.
