Call for Abstracts: AI in Bioscience Workshop (Mainz, October 2026)

Wednesday 2 September 2026

To all PhDs, Post-Docs and early career researchers! We are organising an upcoming AI in Bioscience workshop—a collaboration between IQCB, ReALity Mainz, and JGU Scotland Hub x SULSA. This workshop encourages collaboration between bioscience and computational research communities.

We are now inviting abstract submissions from Early Career Researchers (ECRs) based at Scottish universities, welcoming presentations that highlight ongoing research, focusing on computational or biological challenges that has caused project pivots or are active hurdles, and how applying biological or computational approaches to one another can help solve them.

Event Logistics:
• 🗓️Dates: October 27th–28th, 2026.
• 📍Location: Mainz, Germany.
• 🎙️Format: Keynote speakers, 12-minute ECR presentations (followed by 3-minute Q&A), dedicated poster and break-out sessions.

We welcome ECR presentations and posters focusing on current challenges rather than polished results, highlighting how either computational or biological challenges have caused project pivots or active hurdles, and how applying biological or computational approaches to one another can help solve them.

Selected ECR speakers will receive financial support for their attendance, and all ECR attendees will present their work via poster session. Registration is free.
