30 November 2024 is the deadline for the RISE science and engineering internship programmes in Germany. Opportunities on both programmes are usually in English and supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which offers a stipend, travel funding, travel insurance, health insurance and subsidised German language classes.

The RISE Germany programme offers science and engineering internships to undergraduates at host universities and research institutes during the summer. You must have completed at least 2 years of study by the time you start the internship. Internships last between 10 weeks and 90 days.

The RISE professional programme is open to recent graduates, Masters students and PhD students. It matches interns with German research institutes and companies, including BASF, BMW, Carl Zeiss, Miele, Siemens, Fraunhofer Institute, Forschungszentrum Jülich  and many more. Internships vary in duration, with a 6 month maximum.

This opportunity is organised by DAAD, not the University. However, we would be grateful if you could let the Global Office know if you are successful in your application.
