The Lower Saxony-Scotland Tandem Fellowship is open to applications from doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers who obtained their PhD within the last 10 years. The Fellowship funds international exchanges between researchers from Scotland and Lower Saxony, a region of Germany which is home to 26 higher education institutions, including the University of Göttingen, Technical University of Braunschewig, Leibniz University Hannover and Hannover Medical School.

During the Tandem Fellowship, a researcher from Lower Saxony and a researcher from Scotland work together on a shared project, with advice from a senior researcher. Fellowships are offered from 1 July to 31 December 2024. Funded by the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony, the Fellowship offers a monthly grant to support each Fellow. There are also Fellowship events, including a conference.

Online information sessions will be held on 30 April at 1400 and 15 May at 1400. Details will appear soon on the ECAS website. ECAS also offers an online matching tool and personalised advice for researchers who have a project idea, but have not found a partner in Lower Saxony.
