BSR/Early Medieval Europe ECR Fellowship (30 Jan)
The British School at Rome offers the BSR/Early Medieval Europe Fellowship, in partnership with the Early Medieval Europe journal. Early-career researchers (current PhD students or within two years post-PhD) in early medieval European history are invited to apply. The fellowship provides a month’s residency in Rome and up to £600 travel support during the 2026–27 academic year. Residents gain access to Rome’s manuscript collections, libraries, and material culture.
Applicants must submit a two-page proposal and CV by 30 January 2026, evaluated on research quality and relevance of a Roman stay.
